 A true curve bender bull that has been a favorite among many breeders. He produces for the most part calves that are black to the ground with a white face and google eyes. His phenotype is exceptional and calves sired by him have outstanding growth. He maintains a moderate birth weight that is acceptable for heifers. We have used him heavily in our own herd and have been tremendously happy with the success we have had. We feel he is overall one of the most complete packages in the breed.

 Griffin 30G has the potential to be one of the most performance equipped bulls in the breed. He follows in the footsteps of his full ET brother Solomon which we sadly lost last year. Griffin 30G, like Solomon is a somewhat of an outcross to most Black Hereford genetics.  Solomon’s debut was short due to his untimely death but his offspring is making a lasting mark in the cattle industry. Never before have we seen uniformity and consistency of his calves just like we saw from Solomon. Griffin’s first calves are following suit and are remarkable. They are deep bodied, structurally, correct and big bone. We are extremely pleased to announce that we have collected and now have semen available on HB019398 12HD by Solomon. He is a son of our well-known Solomon bull that is now deceased, and his semen is very limited and in high demand. We sold possession of HD12 as a yearling to Norman and Mary Sherrod, but we had high expectations of what he could develop into as a performance bull, so we retained ½ interest in the semen rights. Some of you may be familiar with Solomon. We think he was the best bull that we ever raised and HD12 is following in his footsteps. One advantage of HD12 over Solomon is that he is 83.625% Homozygous black and Homozygous polled. He is considered a calving ease bull and his calves back up his EPD’s as we have had no issues with birth, and he is safe for heifers. 12HD is not a flashy bull but one look at him and you can tell he is thick, deep and loaded with muscle. He is clean fronted and surefooted. He moves easily in the pasture and has good stride. If you look at his EPDs they are solid but not over the top. The performance of his calves proves his worth. We have several calves sired by him. He is now 4 years old, and this is why we wanted to wait to collect him until we had proven calves on the ground. With that being said, we know what his ability is. We all have seen many young bulls with great projected EDPs that are being promoted with none or very few calves on the ground and when the calves hit the ground they just don’t perform like projected. That is why a proven bull is always worth a 2nd look. Those of you that know our program here at Triple T know that we breed cattle for the real world, not necessarily flashy cattle but cattle that will perform, stand the test of time and MAKE YOU MONEY. We have also noticed that he is marking most of his calves heavy with black and white faces and some that are googled eye. Too much white on Black Herefords will dock your price at the sale barn. He is for the most part an outcross from many of the lines in the breed and should work on most Black Herefords and Hereford females and he will excel in a commercial crossbreeding program.
